Do you know your skin type😯?
Have you ever tried and tried so many beauty products but it’s not working for your skin😣. Well, I guess the answer should be Yes👍! Getting the right beauty product might seem confusing especially if you do not know the type of your skin😖. So, today’s post talks about the types of skin and how to know basic skin care for your skin.
Types
Skin types change with time and your skin type depends on criteria like how oily it is, how much water is in your skin, and how sensitive it is
Oily Skin Type
Oiliness can be caused by weather or season, stress, puberty hormonal changes, or heat.
You may have:
- Extremely oily skin.
- Enlarged pores on the entire face.
- Constant, severe acne all over the face.
- Blackheads, pimples, or other blemishes.
- Red or dark scars that linger.

This type of skin is not too dry and not too oily.

- No severe sensitivity
- Barely visible pores
- A radiant and clear complexion
Dry Skin Type
If you’ve got dry skin, you will notice that your skin can peel, crack, irritate, and become itchy, rough, and scaly, especially at the back of your arms, hands, and legs. This can be caused by genes, weather, hormonal changes, long hot baths, and medications.
You may have:
- Rough and very dull complexion
- Elastic skin
- Invisible pores
- Visible lines
- Red patches on the skin
Sensitive Skin Type
Sensitive skin can be caused by allergies which may involve you being cautious with skin care products, medications, cosmetics, and foods.
You may have:
- Dryness of the skin
- Itching of the skin
- Burning of the skin
- Redness of the skin
Combination Skin Type
This is when your skin can be dry, normal in some parts, and oily in some areas, such as the T-zone {forehead, nose, and chin}.
You may have:
- Enlarged pores produce oil mostly in the t-zone.
