There are crown moments that feel loud, dramatic, cinematic, and then there are moments like Tea Gjorgievska’s. When she won the title of Miss Universe Macedonia 2024, time didn’t rush forward. Instead, it paused. She remembers the shock so vividly that she can still feel the stillness in her body.
“It felt surreal,” she says. “Like everything went quiet for a second.”
And then the quiet made way for something bigger: pride, gratitude, and a renewed sense of purpose.
Tea’s journey is not just about winning a crown. It is a story of becoming: becoming softer, becoming stronger, becoming grounded in who she truly is. In this exclusive feature for the TúyIfedami Skincare Magazine Series, Tea lets us into the emotional, reflective, deeply human side of being a beauty queen, the side that exists when cameras stop flashing.
Being Miss Universe Macedonia for an entire year taught Tea lessons she never expected. She learned self-discipline in the way she organized her days, self-awareness in the way she handled challenges, and most importantly, self-love in the way she spoke to herself.
For Tea, the title did not inflate her ego, it fortified her character.
“I grew so much as a person,” she shares. “I learned what it truly means to love and support myself.”
In a world where beauty queens are often expected to be perfect, Tea embraced something more real: emotional depth. She realized that every life experience; beautiful, difficult, surprising was shaping her into a wiser, more confident woman. Pageantry didn’t just teach her how to walk in heels or speak on stage; it helped her step into her purpose with clarity and courage.
The world sees the polished version of a queen: glowing skin, perfect photos, flawless poise. But Tea believes confidence is built in the quiet places, in the unseen moments.
“To me, confidence means believing in yourself even when no one is watching,” she explains.
“It’s trusting your worth, staying true to who you are, and never letting doubt convince you that you’re not enough.”
Her definition of confidence is tender yet powerful. It is not about perfection, it is about presence. It is the steady decision to choose yourself, even on days when you feel small. It is the courage to stand tall internally, long before the stage lights ever hit you.
The Reality of Skincare, Filters & Letting Skin Breathe
One of Tea’s most refreshing qualities is her honesty. She wants young girls to understand a truth that’s often hidden in the age of social media:
“Every photo you see has a little makeup and a touch of editing,” she says.
“My skin is not perfect and that’s okay.”
It’s an important message in a digital world obsessed with flawless skin. Tea’s transparency reminds her followers that Instagram is not reality, and that comparison is a quiet thief of confidence.
Her real skincare philosophy is gentle and mindful. Whenever possible, she stays makeup-free to let her skin breathe. Because she naturally has dry skin, nighttime skincare is her sanctuary, the moment she locks in deep hydration and nourishment. In the mornings, she avoids overwhelming her skin and chooses simplicity: a light day cream and, always, SPF.
“SPF is non-negotiable,” she emphasizes. “Every day, winter or summer.”
It’s the quiet consistency that protects her glow.
While some people recharge by socializing, Tea recharges by retreating inward into stillness, softness, and presence.
When she needs to reset her mind and body, she devotes one or two full days to herself. No obligations. No noise. Just restoration.
She starts her morning with calming music, a little stretching, pilates or yoga, then a warm cup of green tea. She makes herself a nourishing, protein-rich breakfast, and sinks into her self-care ritual: a hair mask, brow tinting, a manicure, a pedicure, and what she calls an “everything shower” followed by a soothing face mask.
In the evenings, she lets her mood guide her: maybe a comforting movie, a book, or a podcast. And always, love from her little dog; a source of pure, grounding joy.
This is Tea’s version of wellness. Slow. Heart-centered. Intentional.
The Legacy She Hopes to Leave Behind
Tea wants to be remembered not just for her beauty or her achievements, but for her impact. She hopes people will recall her as someone kind, grounded, and brave enough to stand up for those who needed a voice.
“I want to be remembered as someone who lived with empathy and integrity,” she says.
“Someone who made a positive difference in the world around her.”
Her dream is not fame; it is influence, influence rooted in compassion, respect, and justice. She wants her life to be a reminder that true beauty is never external. It is the way we treat others. It is the way we show up in the world. It is the way we love.
“Dear Skin…” A Love Letter to Growth
Every TúyIfedami feature ends with a moment of gratitude and Tea’s message to her skin is one of the most powerful we’ve heard.
“Dear Skin, thank you for carrying every loss and every win for me.”
In that sentence lies the entire essence of this story. The skin doesn’t just reflect sunlight or makeup, it reflects life. The joys. The fears. The healing. The growth. It holds everything we have ever lived through.
Tea’s acknowledgment is a tribute not just to beauty, but to survival, resilience, and becoming.
